For years, photographer Maria and her husband Nick lived outside the system with their four children on a beautiful farm. An alternative model of upbringing and teaching was as natural as the breathtaking Norwegian nature that surrounded them. However, when you decide to live outside the system, you have to be prepared for a possible exile from paradise. An unexpected tragedy turns the world of this unique family upside down. Although it is difficult for them to part with their previous life, the brave children, raised in close proximity to each other, accept the changes. They have to grow into new roles in a school they never attended and settle in a new home under the watchful eye of a loving father. Will they find a place for themselves in a world whose laws and dependencies they have to learn? Silje Evensmo Jacobsen's film received the Grand Prize in the international documentary competition at the Sundance Film Festival.
