Cinema Paradiso
Renowned film director Salvatore Di Vita (Jacques Perrin) receives a phone call one night. The message he receives triggers a flood of nostalgic memories, all connected by cinema. It was there, after World War II, that young Totò (Salvatore Cascio) fell head over heels in love with the magic of "moving images." The boy longs for one thing: to befriend projectionist Alfredo (Philippe Noiret). However, this task proves more difficult than he imagines. The titular "Cinema Paradiso"—its incredible and equally idiosyncratic audience and extensive repertoire—will become the backdrop for the unforgettable adventures of the protagonist, who grew up in the Sicilian countryside, his first "great love," until he leaves his hometown.
"Cinema Paradiso" remains to this day the most beautiful "love letter to cinema" ever committed to film. This timeless story about friendship, dreams, growing up and the great fascination with the Tenth Muse has captured the hearts of viewers around the world.

Coffee & Cigarettes
This, Jarmusch's most famous film, made in a rush over a dozen years, has imagination, lightness and humor. Comedic, black-and-white scenes last exactly as long as it takes to pop out for a smoke or drink a cup of black brew. "We are the generation of coffee and cigarettes," says Tom Waits in one of the scenes, and today, when cigarettes can no longer meet at the coffee table, this declaration unexpectedly tastes of nostalgia.

Picnic at Hanging Rock
The year is 1900. On Valentine's Day, a group of students from an elite Victorian boarding school, accompanied by their teachers, set off on a trip to Hanging Rock, a volcanic formation located in the heart of the Australian bush. There, under a shimmering sky, something unexplained happens - time blurs, space warps, and nature begins to affect the bodies and minds of the young women. Is this an ancient ritual? A collective hallucination? Or, as Edgar Allan Poe wrote, "What we see and seem is a dream we dream in another dream"? One thing is certain: from now on, nothing will be the same.

U Are the Universe
The future. After years of using nuclear energy, humanity has accumulated over 3 billion tons of waste, which is stored in special warehouses. A Ukrainian driver named Andriy is hired by a company specializing in waste disposal. He is given a mission to transport the waste to one of Jupiter's moons. The lavishly equipped spaceship soon becomes his only home – Earth explodes, and radiation destroys all life on the planet. One day, he receives a message from a French woman, Catherine, from a distant space station. When Andriy discovers he's not completely alone, he tries everything to reach her. Pavlo Ostrikov's feature-length debut was shot during the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine. It's a universal story about loneliness and the need for love and understanding, especially in the most difficult moments.

One to One: John & Yoko
This film by Oscar winner Kevin McDonald ("The Last King of Scotland," "Whitney") will surprise and delight even the most die-hard fans of John Lennon and Yoko Ono. It focuses on a crucial period of transformation in their lives, when they lived in New York for 18 months in 1971-72. The film utilizes private film, photo, and music archives, and also, for the first time, includes telephone conversations recorded by the FBI, which sought to deport Lennon from the country. John and Yoko lived in a Greenwich Village apartment, which was fully reconstructed for this story. Bewildered by America, they surrounded themselves with a team of eccentrics and young artists: from Allen Ginsberg to Jerry Rubin. The strangest of them turned out to be activist AJ Weberman, who was tasked with searching Bob Dylan's trash bins to prove that the singer had become a "hypocritical multimillionaire." The film's title refers to Lennon's unique charity concert, which took place on August 30, 1972.

The Sleeper. El Caravaggio perdido
In April 2021, the Ansorena auction house in Madrid listed a painting titled "Ecce Homo" with a starting price of €1,500. The artist's identity remained unknown—until then. Within hours, experts from Spain and Italy identified it as a lost work by Caravaggio, a Baroque master. The painting was immediately withdrawn from the auction, and experts, dealers, and collectors jumped in, offering exorbitant sums. However, voices soon emerged questioning the painting's authenticity and the integrity of the appraisers. How do you determine the truth when large sums of money are at stake?

The Straight Story
The film tells the story of Straight's six-week odyssey, as he resolves to reconcile with his ailing brother. He hasn't spoken to him in over a decade. Since his driver's license has long been revoked and he's visually impaired, he decides to hit the road in the only vehicle available to him—a small tractor-trailer. He travels 300 miles along local roads, through the fields and meadows of Iowa and Wisconsin. He drives slowly, so to speak, savoring the journey, like Goethe's wandering Wilhelm Meister, not so much learning about life as recalling it and organizing the most important events. Driving slowly, he can admire the changing landscape and contemplate sunsets, has time to chat with the people he meets, and at night, he stops wherever dusk happens to find him—at the edge of a forest or field. He is free—living life to the fullest, in his own way and at his own pace.
