The year is 1945. The entire world is captivated by the opening of the Nuremberg Trials of Nazi war criminals in Germany. Prosecutor Robert H. Jackson, the lead prosecutor for the United States, is aware of the daunting task he has undertaken. He knows that the main defendant, Hermann Göring, is not only ruthless but also brilliantly intelligent, making obtaining incriminating testimony from him an extremely difficult task. Young psychiatrist Douglas Kelley is therefore assigned the mission of approaching Göring, establishing a relationship with him, and obtaining information from him that will have a crucial impact on the outcome of the trial.
