The film consists of three parts. Eva, a sixteen-year-old from Hungary, comes to the United States to her aunt living in Cleveland, but she is supposed to stay with her cousin Bela living in New York for one night. However, her stay, to the host's displeasure, is extended to 10 days. There she meets Eddie. A year later, Willie and Eddie, cheating at poker, win a larger sum of money. They decide to visit Eva and go to Cleveland. They spend a few winter days there. They decide to return and kidnap Eva to Florida, to a "paradise" that none of them have ever been to. In Florida, everything goes wrong - Willie and Eddie lose all their money at dog races. Eva, disappointed with her friends, goes out and accidentally wins a lot of money. She decides to return to Europe. Eddie and Willie "get back at" horse races. They go to the airport to prevent Eva from carrying out her plan.
