This story, created by Bernard MacMahon, is filled with mesmerizing, psychedelic and previously unreleased footage. It is a true cinematic journey through the work and personal stories of Led Zeppelin. Told in the words of the band members themselves, it is the first officially authorized film production to shed new light on the story of one of the greatest icons of world rock.
The film, a combination documentary and concert spectacle, presents unique and previously unseen footage of Led Zeppelin's performances. This emotional musical experience takes viewers on an early tour of the band, complemented by personal and exclusive statements from its members, who are known for their care for their privacy.
"Becoming Led Zeppelin" was announced in 2019 and then even aired in 2021 at the Venice Film Festival, but then disappeared. Sony Classics Pictures decided to return to the project, bought the rights to the production and then spent the last three years editing it. The new version is expected to be slightly different from what viewers saw in 2021.
