Maja, despite having devoted her entire young life to acting, struggles with a lack of self-confidence and considers taking up studies in another field. Everything changes when a new, passionate director appears, who uses questionable working methods. He is to prepare a diploma with the students, and Maja gets a new chance and begins to act with great commitment. However, over time she painfully learns that the charismatic director manipulates not only her feelings, but also the relationships and aspirations of the other young actors.
