Karol (Zbigniew Zamachowski), an emigrant from Poland, marries a Frenchwoman, Dominique (Julie Delpy). Soon, his wife finds he can't satisfy her sexually and demands a divorce. Karol begins living as a homeless man. He meets fellow countryman Mikołaj (Janusz Gajos), who helps him return to Poland. Karol decides to take revenge on his ex-wife.
