Seventeen-year-old Adi returns to his hometown in the heart of the Danube Delta to spend the summer holidays with his parents. He lives and studies in the neighboring town of Tulcea, which can only be reached by boat. The picturesque place where he grew up, the small community where everyone knows each other, give the protagonist a false sense of security.
One night, returning from a party, Adi is brutally attacked. Everyone, including the boy's parents, is shocked. The local police chief begins an investigation that leads to the son who arouses fear in the Zentov area. The pretext is supposed to be unsettled financial settlements between the men. However, the real reason for the attack is soon revealed. It causes no less sensation than the beating itself and destabilizes the situation not only in Adi's family, but also in the entire local community. The disturbing atmosphere of the small village contrasts with the idyllic beauty of the surrounding landscapes.
