"The Dead Man" is the story of a young man, a story of a spiritual and physical escape through an unknown land. It is the second half of the nineteenth century. William Blake is heading towards the farthest outpost on the eastern border. Lost and badly injured, he meets a strange, outlaw Indian named Nobody, who, due to the similarity of their names, is convinced that he has met one of the dead members of the British Dead Poets Society. Time passes, and with the help of the Indian, Blaky experiences moments of joy and violence. Against his own nature, circumstances turn him into a hunted outlaw, into a murderer, into a man whose physical shell slowly ceases to exist. Thrust between the horrors and chaos of the reality surrounding him, he observes with wide open eyes the fragility that defines the scope of existence. It is as if, after breaking through a pane of glass, he emerges on the other side and sees a completely different, unknown, unreal world.
