Radu Jude's new film is set in Cluj, the capital of Transylvania. Orsolya works there as a bailiff and has a case to solve involving Ion. The man is a former athlete who has fallen into alcoholism and homelessness, having been unable to find permanent shelter for a long time. He must also move out of the basement he temporarily occupies, as the luxury Kontinental Hotel will soon be built on the site. However, the eviction Orsolya carries out has tragic consequences. These events profoundly impact the woman, plunging her into a serious existential crisis. Orsolya must confront her feelings of guilt and questions about individual responsibility in an increasingly oppressive reality, including economically.
