Renowned shaman Hwarim (Go-eun Kim) and her protégé Bong-gil (Do-hyun Lee) are hired by a wealthy, enigmatic family to investigate the cause of a supernatural disease that afflicts firstborn children in every generation. They are aided in their daunting task by experienced mortician Young-geun (Hae-jin Yoo) and nationally respected geomancer Sang-deok (Min-sik Choi). The team soon traces the source of the disease to a family tomb located on sacred ground. Sensing a sinister aura surrounding the burial site, they immediately decide to exhume and relocate the remains of their ancestors.
